Law of Intertia

Law of Intertia
I am a body at rest,
Waiting for a force,
To restart the beating in my chest,
I wait for a gust of wind,
To fuel the fire in my eyes,
To propel me through this labyrinth,
And its walls of white lies,
I feel my fingers start to freeze,
And my eyelids flutter shut,
I pray for something, even a breeze,
To stop me before I turn to dust.
