To all the parents: from a kid

 To what they teach me


One day, I know I will understand the things you taught me,

I feel your lessons seeping through my skin,

Getting closer and closer to my heart,

I see the hazy outline of them, 

Approaching in the distance,


But until that fateful day,

When spring arrives,

And the flowers of your words

are at my fingertips,

I will have to squint at the blurred image,

Gaze at the reddening sky,

Until the first light of dawn,

washes over me.
