Lost in a Daydream

This is a rewrite of one of my older poems from 3 years ago that I opened up again. This was based on a prompt of "describing paradise".

 Lost in Daydream- Rewrite

Sitting on a mountain over the shore,

The sun disappeared under the horizon,

Leaving a glimmer of red in the moonlit sky,

I lay back and breathe in the soft spring air

Inhaling the petrichor smell of the earth.

I am running miles away from reality,

Yet I can still smell the salty sea air,

Mixing with the crisp scent of ozone,

The deeper I sink, the more I realize,

This is the only place I would love to get lost in.

A daydream.
