Acadia National Park

 Hiya peeps!

So, right now, I'm chilling in Acadia National Park; in midsummer. Anyways, today, my family and a couple friends hiked a dangerous trail called "Beehive Mountain." This trail is one of the most difficult trails. In a couple parts, there is just a small walkway that separates you between life and death. It was an... experience. But the views were absolutely worth it.  Acadia is on the coast so we have a beautiful view of the ocean surrounded by mountains. At the top of every peak we went to, I demanded that everyone should stay at least 3 yards away from me as I contemplated my life decisions. It was very enlightening. I achieved nothing.

Beehive had provided ladders that you could climb to get to the top. If you made one slip, you would be going six feet under the ground. As we climbed my adrenaline was pumping.  When I got to the top of the Beehive, I managed to propel myself into a bellyflop... on rock... on the edge of a mountain... it hurt.... a lot.

I hope you guys remember the "Alone On a Mountain" poem because I really felt it. :)The Most Dangerous Hike in Acadia: Precipice Trail — Maps With No RoadsBeehive Trail (Acadia National Park) - Champagne Tastes®

Happy Father's Day!

HI!!! So this is a little poem I wrote for my father last year. I found it again and I edited it greatly. Hope you like it! :)

A sound of music fills the room,

Now everybody is listening to the beautiful tune.

The melody wafts through the air,

The anonymous singer in his chair,

He is joyful and funny,

and acts half his age,

He'll not cease to make you smile,

in your darkest days,

However gloomy the world may seem,

He'll lighten it up like a radiant sunbeam,

Once with him, life isn't a bother,

He is my mentor, a light, my father

Weightless

Weightless
One with the water, the waves the ocean,
Out of the world that is always in motion,
Falling without a sound,
But something still echoes around,
The depths, where no thoughts occur,
There's nothing that not thinking can't cure,
The burden of the world sinks down into the abyss,
For just a moment, you are open, free, and weightless.

The Fox

 Fox

Beautiful, red, orange, or white,

Sly eyes through the night,

Its prey gives it a look of fright,

Sharp, sharp claws symbolize might,

Always ready to brutally fight,

Eyes shine in the dimming light,

The beautiful, red, orange or white.

Alone on the mountain

 Alone on the mountain

Alone on a mountain,

Alone, not lonely,

The whole world stops,

When I am the only,

Beneath me, people hustle and bustle,

But when I am alone on a mountain,

Not a leaf has to rustle,

For once, my train of thought comes to a stop,

No one has to think anything,

When they are alone on a mountaintop,

What he said and what she did,

Has no importance,

When I am one with the wind,

I left my pride and dignity at the base,

For I am invisible on the mountain,

I don’t leave a trace,

I don’t make a sound,

When the sky meets the earth

And becomes one with the ground,

Alone on a mountain,

But nobody cares,

They go on with their lives,

When I am alone up there.

Bibble Babble

This is a short story I wrote when I was bored.

Bibble Babble

By: Kaayana Sharma

“Bonjour! Hola! Namaste! Ni hao!”

Meena was unimpressed. “Done?” she asked with a sigh.

They were sitting in the Cockatoo Café. Meena had ordered them two coffees and the two parrots were having a chat.

“I know it in three more languages. But I guess I shouldn’t show too much of my genius in one go.” Bibble fluffed his feathers a bit.

“Bib, you aren’t concentrating on school. Instead, you’re pouring over stupid human books,” Meena said in disgust.

“Oh, school is quite useless. With my knowledge, I could even live in the human world,” Bibble said proudly.

The diners were now silent, listening to their argument with interest.

Bibble,” said Meena, sounding thoroughly exasperated by now. “Blabbering in different languages will not get you anywhere!”

But Bibble just smiled. “Oh Meena, don’t be jealous, I’ll teach you some languages too.”

Meena groaned and huffed so loudly that some parrots drinking their coffee at the other end of the café looked up to see what was so terribly wrong.

“You’re hopeless,” Meena hissed.

But Bibble just kept on grinning.

Piano’s life

This poem is a limerick that I based on my piano.  When COVID first started, I didn't play the piano much, it sat alone day after day until I was assigned a piano teacher. Then I thought about how a piano must feel. I hope you enjoy my poem!

Piano’s life

I am a grand piano, as beautiful as can be,

I have sparkling, clean, black and white keys,

I can be as rhythmic as the sea,

Or as unconfined as a bird that’s free,

Plink! Plank! Ploonk! Are the words I say,

I belong to the keyboard family and there I shall stay,

I am a blank canvas and do as you may,

(Please play Fur Elise on your way,

That definitely is my personal fav. )

I bide my time by sitting all day,

When my person forgets to practice, I go kinda cray-cray,

My person has found a new instrument which she strummed today,

I need to be tuned which my person forgot to do,

And boy, I need to use the loo,

Why didn’t they put me next to the bathroom,

Now I will be in forever gloom,

Because I can never,

Ever

Not for a moment,

On no account,

Ever,

Ever,

No, never
